There wasn't much battling to speak of, though skirmishes could happen throughout the day. The Confederates made some substantial surprise attacks on Union camp. At one point the sole defense of the camp came down to myself and Severson who defended it successfully in our camp slippers. It was mostly tense due the highly effective body armor the attackers seemed to be wearing. However, judges did make sure fighting and game play stayed fair and exciting. When not fighting many of use spent time on long scouting hikes, sometimes getting shot, captured, or getting away with a dazzling escape from Confederate pickets. We did suffer one actual injury when private Christiansen sprained his ankle. But we got a care to him and he was bandaged up for safe travel home by nurse Molly. We all decided it would be better safe than sorry to head home early to tend to the injure, though he was greatly missed the rest of the weekend.
Plenty of time was spent finding prize caches, earning points, relaxing in town, and guarding presidents Lincoln and Davis. Town outdid itself yet again with their incredible store, refreshments, leisure activities, and overall unparalleled immersive experience. Evenings were spent comfortably in camp playing games, swapping stories, and enjoying each other's company. There is good reason why this event is the favorite organization event for most who attend.
